Nine Greenville restaurants have been honored by Wine Spectator Magazine’s Restaurant Awards list for 2017. The list includes restaurants with exceptional wine lists.
The awards are divided into three categorites: Award of Excellence, recognizing restaurants whose wine lists feature “a well-chosen assortment of quality producers”; Best of Award of Excellence, recognizing restaurants that offer “more extensive selections with significant vintage depth and excellent breadth across multiple regions”; and Grand Award, which honors those restaurants whose wine programs that offer “serious breadth of top producers, outstanding depth in mature vantages, excellent harmony with the menu and superior presentation.”
The winners included Best of Award of Excellence for Soby’s and Rick Erwin’s West End Grille, and Awards of Excellence for Halls Chophouse, Larkin’s on the River, Rick Erwin’s Nantucket Seafood, both Ruth’s Chris Steak House locations and Up on the Roof.
This year, the Restaurant Awards program honored 3,592 dining destinations from all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 75 countries internationally.
